Out-N-About: Tembe Elephant Park – Emangusi, South Africa
During the next several Saturday mornings, I am going to gift you with a few video-vacations is see many amazing animals.
For today’s excursion we are going to visit a herd of elephants at Tembe Elephant Park in Emangusi, South Africa
I hope you enjoy the fun as much as I have in watching these lovable lumaxas (Elephants are actually very intellengent creatures- I was just enjoying the alliteration.) reveling in family fellowship.
With every New Year, people tend to begin with new and bold expectations.
Are you a person you makes New Year’s resolutions?
I am NOT a New Year’s resolution type person, but I am very into goal-setting and having a purpose for each day.
“It’s not enough to have lived. We should be determined to live for something.” ―Winston S. Churchill
“The best way to lengthen out our days is to walk steadily and with a purpose.” ―Charles Dickens
Your purpose (your vision) for the next days (weeks, months, years, decades) may be as simple as keeping a clean house so that it is a welcoming place for guests, daily making a point to show unmerited kindness to a person, begin to learn a new language, read a book a week, join a local club or organization… There are thousands of choices.
I believe that a person needs a reason to get-out-of-bed each morning.
It doesn’t have to be big.
It doesn’t have to change the world.
Doesn’t always matter how fast, or even if you need a little help.
But getting up every morning – with a definitive purpose for your day – will allow 2021 to be a year worthy of remembering.
While stumbling through Google the other day, I fell upon these videos.
I am NOT a connoisseur-type chef. My specialties are peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, Deli meats, and microwavables.
I do have a crock pot, and I have a few recipes that I have been successful at preparing.
The Simplified Saver Cooking Blog looked not only easy to do, but they looked very tasty.
Here’s the catch… I hate eating things when I don’t know ahead of time what they taste like. (Yes, I’m a baby. … I’ve heard it all before. … Water off a duck’s back.)
If, during quarantine, any one you have the ingredients available, and are so inclined, to test out a few of these delicious-looking treats, drop me a line.
I don’t think that I will attempt any of them until after quarantine.
New foods to me, stressful you see. (You thought I was a baby. … Really, I’m like a wise, but ever-compassionate Yoda.)
FYI: I’ll probably drop one of these each week, just seeking a helpful connoisseur.)
