English-Word Information

DISDAIN is such a strong and hateful word.

According to Google-Dictionary disdain means the feeling that someone or something is unworthy of one’s consideration or respect.

I tried to think of ‘people’ that I would feel as ‘unworthy of respect’ …

When you begin feeling like a person is not worthy of any respect, I think it might say more about you than about that person?

I find certain ‘acts that people might do’ as unworthy. But I’m not sure I would to go so far as to say that the ‘person’ – no matter how much I find the act disgusting- is disdainful.

I think there are too many people in the world that are just writing people off and disregarding friendships because of differing points of view.

I'd love to hear from you. It's nice to know other people are out there.
