A Question from Di

What really turns your stomach?

A Question Sparked from Jim and Fandango

What would YOU do with the immense amount of ‘garbage’ in the world, if there weren’t dumps or barges (Sorry New York/New Jersey) where it was taken to be processed?

Evil Squirrel Question

What’s the oddest container you’ve ever gotten a gift in?

Holiday Themed Question

Do people behave differently during Christmas (insert your own holiday or festive season)?

Do they try to be better?

Do you donate something (money, clothes…) to charities?

Do you give something to homeless people?

A Question from Di

What really turns your stomach?

We have a lovely odor that sometimes permeates our fresh air from the local ‘water treatment’ plant or a local ‘processing ‘plant. I think of some humid afternoons, they take turns blessing us.

Almost everything can be recycled, if we wanted it to be recycled.

I would IMMEDIATELY allow for REPAYMENTS on glass jars, plastics, and aluminum cans. IF people were paid to ‘collect’ and ‘recycle’… I think most people would.

I remember, as a kid, walking to road to the local filling station (probably five miles, and during the trip I collected enough soda bottles for my immediate snack, a snack for my friend, and usually another snack to take home.

I have had ‘tiny box’ clues scattered all over the back yard… Each clue lead to a different box. Eventually, I found my present.

I think a few people might act differently during a given season, but the friends that I know that are ‘giving’ friends… They ‘give’ year-round. (Yes, they might give more at Christmas.)

  1. Thanks, Roger, for Sharing Your World and a peek at a very nice place to be and people to know! As children we would collect aluminum cans, and coke/soda bottles for the money we’d get from the return, I was ‘recycling’ at age 13 and never stopped. It just has a fancier name and cachet now I think. It’s great that you do too! 🙂 Those toxic fumes can be really nasty, I used to keep Menth-o-latum in my desk drawer for the occasionally ‘stinky’ office. We had a decaying body part in the room next to the office one summer – now THAT? Reeked!! 🤢 My sympathies on having to smell ‘recycled’ water products… I’m glad you know folks who are generous and give the whole year ’round. That’s very heart warming! Have a great week! Oh! And I LOVE the tiny paper box idea. How fun was that? That’s a wonderful idea!
