Vincent van Gogh

“Cafe Terrace at Night”

This is the FIRST time that Vincent van Gogh used ‘a starry night’ in any of his paintings.

The painting is of a REAL cafe in Arles, France. This painting was never signed by van Gogh. The coffeehouse is now named after van Gogh.

This painting is one of a trilogy of ‘starry nights’ paintings by van Gogh: “Cafe Terrace at Night” … “Starry Night Over the Rhone” … and “Starry Night”.

Written for DAILY ADDICTIONS: January 1, 2020: FIRST.
