Wow … You really went for the deep questions this week.
What is the meaning of true love?
All earthly love is to-some-degree-or-another selfish.
Do acts of kindness have a motive?
Every act has a motivation.
If we live in a civilized world why do we see so many distinctions between rich and poor?
Since the beginning of time, there has always been the haves and the have–nots. That will never change. living in a civilized world (or an uncivilized world) has nothing to do with it.
Do we love ourselves more in the virtual world than in the real world?
I suspect that this is true. Ask any mentally un-grounded person. The world seems to be full of them.
So that my answers do not come across as evading the depth of the questions, here is a philosophical premise:
EVIL exists in the world. It usually lives it life through people. The solution for a better world. Don’t be that person. (Yes, it is a little cheesy and far too simplified, but EVIL is a simple creature. You don’t have to look hard for it. You know it when you see it.)
