THE LAST HOUSEGUEST
Megan Miranda
Megan Maranda was a new author for me. I have more of her books on hold now for future reading!
Littleport, Maine, is a great vacation spot for the rich-and-up-n-comers. The local folks try to make their business from the vacation months tending to the needs of the summer visitors.
Grant Loman, and his close-knit (but maladjusted) family, owns and runs with a welcoming-but-tight-fist the community.
Avery Greer, a young local, is hired by the Loman’s to oversee their investments during the vacation months, as well as tend to the rental upkeeps on the down months.
Avery becomes a family fixture- She is adopted in sisterly friendship by the Loman’s daughter, Sadie.
During an End-of-Summer party, Sadie Loman is found dead at the bottom of an overlook.
As the detectives investigate, more and more secrets that should have remained hidden are discovered about the local’s connections to the Lorman’s, as well as secrets the Lorman’s might just kill to protect.
This is a story written with many flashbacks.
Enjoyed!
