EASTER EVERY MORNING

As a lad, I helped out on several neighboring farms.

What I enjoyed the most, of all my activities on the farm was bailing hay. I loved the smell of a freshly mowed field.

My second most favorite activity was the gathering of the eggs.

Most of the laying hens were cooperative. They would roost in their nests and it was easy to collect the eggs.

There were always a few laying hens that preferred to range. It was like Easter morning each day trying to find the eggs.

None of the neighbors ever had a mansion (as the one pictured above) for their hens.

I'd love to hear from you. It's nice to know other people are out there.
