SCHEDULED PROGRAM …
Have you ever wanted to throw a shoe at your television?
I HATE IT when the program I want to see is being shown on the television station channel for which I have subscribed, when suddenly a program teemed more worthy interrupts. They broadcasters apologize, usually, and tell you where you can channel-surf to watch the reminder of YOUR telecast, but the new channel offered IS NOT on your selected program guide.
Thank goodness the NCAA has fixed the problem. This was awful during the NCAA basketball tournaments when I was a lad.
Now, the network affiliates still can stab-you-in-the-rumpus. The broadcasters take a conference team’s games and spread them over several networks. Because of this, a sports fanatic has to purchase augmented sports packages in order to watch all the games of his favorite team.
But at least you can plan ahead.
FYI: They have been known to do this during Olympic broadcasts as well!
