Who Is in Charge of Your Pedigree?
We value pedigree in our livestock, racing horses, and pets. The more stable the pedigree the higher the value.
In days of yore, pedigree in humans was valued the same way. King’s and nobleman’s marriages were carefully arranged because of bloodlines and power.
In today’s world, many people want to know from whence they have come… http://www.ancestry.com is making a fortune off of historical, familial hunters.
I am an avid, amateur historian. I love leaning about the past.
But I do not value my pedigree in the same way as the kings and noblemen and conquerors from my family line- on which I am sure there are many!
I am more concerned about the pedigree I am now willing to give to those around me.
Am I a willing, warm, and welcoming member of my own futuristic ancestral hierarchy?
Sometime to think about.
