No Depletion of Choices
Hobbies: Music and Photography
Over my years of teaching, one of my Go-To Projects at the end of every school year has been a decades study.
During the last two weeks of school, my classes would delve into The Decade of the Fifties, or another decade.
This would include the important people and events that changed the United States and/or the world, the top musical hits of country music or rock-n-roll (whatever music was the-going-thing), new inventions, the how to make a fashion statement, the cost of cost-housing-entertainments, and new toys and pastimes.
These last two weeks were always a blast to discover things that are still permeating our society today form each decade.
I am going to start that for this week for my retirement. I think this week I am checking out the SEVENTIES. I think my musical go-to will be Kenny Rogers and his surrounding world.
If I like this, I have a never-ending shelves of cds of artists for my listening pleasure.
Written for The Daily Post: Deplete I have been having problems finding something of meaning to create an answer for the prompts this year. So I decided to strengthen and tighten my focus. My chosen topics are as follows: (Monday) Life in Retirement; (Tuesday) Hobbies: Archaeology and Astronomy; (Wednesday) Fitness; (Thursday) Chores; (Friday) Writing; (Saturday) Hobbies: Music and Photography; and (Sunday) Hobbies: Gardening and Birdwatching.
