Flavorful Fiction

Flavorful Fiction

The Daily Post

September 15

Having been away from my blog for more than a quarter of the year, I find myself reluctant to begin writing again.

All of the great habits that I had developed for finding my muse seem to have vanished.

I sit at the keyboard wondering if I still have anything to say.

I wander the house avoiding even checking my email because I feel regret as I approach my desk; remorse and sorrow overcome me as I seek to reignite the wonders of the creative- compulsiveness I enjoyed as I formed and fabricated a new world in no more than ninety-words…. or in two hundred words or less.

These feelings hinge on despair and trepidation at the times lost from a life that used to enjoy creative writing.

The free-flow of flavorful fantasy seems to be just out-of-arm’s-reach.

Written for The Daily Post: Flavorful. I have been having problems finding something of meaning to create an answer for the prompts this year. So I decided to strengthen and tighten my focus. My topics for the month of March are as follows:  (Monday) Teaching and Life; (Tuesday) Hobbies: Archaeology and Astronomy; (Wednesday) Fitness; (Thursday) Chores; (Friday) Writing; (Saturday) Hobbies: Music and Photography; and (Sunday) Hobbies: Gardening and Birdwatching.

  1. You are a prolific writer and have done awesome work creating your blog. I struggle with having too much to say, not enough time, and procrastinating because I am overwhelmed. Maybe we can find the median and settle on creating for the sake of others.
