NAPOWRIMO- 2017: #5

National Poetry Writing Month- 2017

REQUIREMENTS: We were asked to write a poem about a slice of the natural world that you have personally experienced using poetic license.

Nature’s Helicopters

flittering, fluttering from high above

raining down upon the manicured lawn

continually twisting and turning to find safe haven

once stabilized and embedded in the rich earth

to sprout and mature and attempting to reestablish dominance

over pansies, petunias, and peonies

Written for The National Poetry Writing Month- 2017.

I'd love to hear from you. It's nice to know other people are out there.
