I am not a cake person. Sure, I can eat a delicious slice of birthday cake every now and then… but lead me to the pies! Blueberry… Apple… Cherry…
Over Thanksgiving Vacation, I have been allowing my innate desires for feasting on a scrumptious slice of pie after every meal… even for a bedtime snack!
So far…
For the Thanksgiving Meal…
- A Cinnamon Apple
- A Tart Morello Cherry Pie with Cross-Tie Crust
- An Old-Fashioned Pecan Pie
- A Classic Pumpkin Pie
For the Extended Holidays…
- Strawberry Cheesecake Pie
- A Coconut Cream Custard Pie
- An Apple Strudel Pie
- A Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
- A Georgia Peach Pie
Soon, I hope, my desires are sated….

I, too, am a pie person. I think it’s all the filling. You sometimes get filling with cakes, but just a little bit between the layers. A pie is practically all filling. You have me drooling with your lists of pies!

Wow… i ate Thanksgiving in a restaurant and got one tiny little slice of pumpkin pie. They should have been ashamed. All of yours sound scrumptious and bet you were served big many slices.

After you retire from teaching, it looks to me like you should start a professional pie palace. I love my pie, those pies of yours look better than anything I have ever eaten. My grandmother who came from the land of reindeer herders, north of the Arctic circle made blood pie. I guess it was a big hit in Lapland. She made one once from cow blood, my brother and I thought it was chocolate pie, of course, we had to have a large piece. She asked, “you boys sure about that?” She made us eat it all, nothing was ever wasted when it came to food.
