Looking in the mirror, what do you see?
Of, course. You see your own reflection…. But look deeper.
Look deeper and find the true you.
Who are you really?
Why did you choose the path you are walking?
Go ahead. Look! Poke far, far beneath your easily-seem worldly façade and uncover the intricate facets that enable you to function each and every day in this self-obsessed society.
Look both directions.
What are your vices? Your shortcomings? Those were not that hard to find.
But look beyond the obvious. Delve around until you find their roots.
Where did it begin? What are you (probably daily) doing to ‘feed the beast’?
Now, turn around.
Who are you when you are at your best? When you show compassion… charity… courage…
What allows those parts of your true self to become emblazed and bless those around you?
Now, you have a choice.
Now, you know your choices.
Both of these polar-opposites are the true you.
Which one will you allow to reign? Which true you will become the supreme ruler?
The answer is easy….
It is the one you feed.
