The first mowing.

The smell of freshly cut grass…NOT THIS YEAR!

INVADERS!!! From fall through the winter, my yard has been overtaken by the dark side …  by the allium vineale and the allium canadense. (In layman’s terms the wild onion and wild garlic interlopers.)

The smells, as I mowed, of their demise were so obnoxious that the pleasant aromas of freshly cut grass was nowhere to be found.

Upon walking into my house, the odorous villains followed me. I had to place my shoes on the front stoop.

You will hear from me another day, you scoundrels.

Today… you won.

There will be a tomorrow!
