STOPPING BY WOODS ON A SNOWY EVENING

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening, by Robert Frost, is one of  my favorite poems.

It was first published on this day, March 7, 1923.

Robert Frost was an academic young man. He was co-valedictorian at his his school. He attended both Dartmouth and Harvard, but did not graduate from either. Three years after high school, Robert married his co-valedictorian

For twenty years, Robert tied to support his family on a rural farm.  His gifting was not agricultural in nature!

He set his hand to poetry and was soon widely acclaimed.

Even though Robert Frost never graduated from a university, he received 44 honorary degrees!

I hope you enjoyed the dramatization of Walking by Woods on a Snowy Evening

A SPECIAL NOTE: I want to thank Mark @ The GadAboutTown  for the inspiration of these posts. He does a type of History of The Day as well. Love reading your blog, Mark!

Written for Reminiscing the Arts.  I was so excited about this new idea, I got ahead of myself!
