Money for Nothing
If you’re like most of us, you need to earn money by working for a living. Describe your ultimate job. If you’re in your dream job, tell us all about it — what is it that you love? What fulfills you? If you’re not in your dream job, describe for us what your ultimate job would be.
I think I have been a blessed man my entire life. I have always felt that I had ‘my dream job’ and was involved in the activities that were ‘my dreams’. Money enough to pay my bills was a necessity… but the jobs that I chose were not the millionaire-seeking fantasy fulfillments.
At the present, I teach junior high. I love it. My students are awesome. On almost every day I get up looking forward to a new and great adventure in my classroom.
I am presently a newbie writer. I don’t know how long I get to claim the title newbie. I have had a blog for a little over a year. I am still learning so much about the skills of writing.
I have future dreams. I often sit and wait and listen to my heart about when a new chapter is supposed to open for future endeavors. I am a very patient person (sometimes). I will sit and await a new door. I will notice the transition coming closer because I will being to feel the fire to explore a new life when the time is right! I have always been able to trust the fire. (There are nights that as I listen I can hear the fire’s embers. But the time is not yet.)
Of course, there are days that my dream job is not a dream. In every dream there are clouds that contain nightmares. One always has to decide what one wants to allow one’s eyes to gaze upon: the fulfillments of life or life’s’ discomforts.
Soon… months??? A few more years??? I will step into a new chapter. I do not want to leave the present chapter until all of the words for that chapter have been written and fulfilled. Looking back… and smiling…. A true blessed way to walk.

I love hearing about teachers who love to teach. That’s what makes a good teacher, most of all.

I’m retired after 33 years as an RN. Now I just sit home, collect my SS and retirement and blog. It’s fun not to go out to work after all those years. 🙂
