Too Long at the Mall
“Are you sure that Mark entered The Zone?”
“Saw him myself.”
“Why? We’re supposed to stick together.”
“You know why… Venetia hasn’t returned.”
“She knows what she’s doing. She’s been there before. Besides, she’s only two hours late.”
“Mark said he couldn’t wait.”
“This is going to ruin everything.”
“Mark can take care of himself.”
“Not the problem.”
“Then what is?”
“Venetia went to get the rings and the final fitting on her gown. Mark wasn’t supposed to know.”
“She what?”
“She was gonna propose tonight after the evening fires. She was tired of waiting for him to do it.”
