DAILY PROMPT
The idea that the weather and people’s moods are connected is quite old. Do you agree? If yes, how does the weather affect your mood?
For educated professionals…. Teachers are some of the most grandiose myth-believers that exist in the world.
I have worked with MANY teachers – names will not be named!- that after a rough morning with discipline in the classroom that will say things like… “You can tell that a full moon is on the way. The students were far more disruptive than usual.” Or other such fairy-tale-like assertions.
I silently laugh… The Full Moon IS ALWAYS just a few days away!
Can you see a traffic officer pulling over a speeder with these words…? “I understand that there is a full moon approaching. Please take that into account as I allow you to continue to drive home just a tiny bit intoxicated.”
After stopping a bank robbery in progress…? “I understand your compulsions are harder to keep in check during this seasonal cycle.”
I boggles my mind, the things that we allow excuses to reshape basic life happenings.
I will step-down from the soapbox… before I get myself into real trouble. I have to keep my biorhythms in closer check…The new moon is just days away.
