You Get What You Pay For
“Best job ever!”
“So you got it?”
“Did I ever!”
“I’m so proud of you, Brady. What are you doing?”
“I get to test drive new cars.”
“Honey, didn’t you go see my father about the assistant’s job?”
“I told you that there were one or two other offers that I wanted to check before we had to accept his help.”
“I know, dear. But Father was expecting you today.
“I was in the cars all day driving.”
“What does that actually mean?”
“This is the job of a lifetime. I get to crash cars. And I am great at it. I had only been on the job for a few hours when the owner of the company radios me to pull over at the next lap. He wanted to speak with me.”
“What did he want?”
“Offered me a live television contract. I have it right here. Wanted me to bring it home for you to look at it. The benefits are great. The health insurance is a little high. But he said that I was to be sure to show you the life insurance policy. Our family will be rolling in the dough when we cash that in.”

LOL! Does he realize he will be dead when they cash that in? Probably should have gone to see her father. He needs his help. Haha!

Actually, they can cash in the policy ahead of time for an amount somewhat less than the insured amount. They’re called viatical settlements. The only problem is, some people who “loan” you the money aren’t prepared to wait until you die to collect. They will come after you to kill you because they will benefit from the full insurance amount. They need to think this through very carefully 😀

Let’s hope that his wife does? And that she loved HIM?

I don’t know, he avoids a lifetime of drudgery working for the in-laws, and still manages to provide for his family.
Sure, it’s a terminal solution. But the in-laws just might be a choice just too horrible to contemplate.

EEK! Remind me of a slap stick comedy. Really what are you thinking!!! Or aren’t thinking at all.
But then passions like to play 😉
I mashed a few prompts along with Al’s this week. Cheers.
