What a glorious day. The sun had peered out from the clouds. Its brilliance had not been impeded by even the thought of a shower. The 5K and kid’s games went-off without a hitch. Now exhausted, everyone was enjoying homemade ice cream. The kids relaxed on the hill cloud-gazing and telling animal stories while the parents enjoyed the bluegrass.

I was on patrol. – Safety First.

Katie, my kid sis, came running with two enormous raspberry cones.

“Brady, what are those men over there doing?”

Immediately, I sensed trouble. .

“Katie, run to the tunnel.”

A sudden brightness overtook the sun.

I'd love to hear from you. It's nice to know other people are out there.
