“Hello, Bruce.”

“Evening Alice.”

“This seems so very silly. We are still married, you know.”

“We’re legally separated. This kids know that. They are confused enough. They don’t have to know that we’re thinking about getting back together until it actually happens.”

“You always were the prudent one.”

“Apparently, not always.”

“That really wasn’t your fault.”

“I’m responsible for my own actions. Don’t make it into something that it’s not.”

“I said that I forgave you.”

“I know.”

“I should have heard your side of the story before I packed the kids up and left.”

“You always were the wild and reckless one.”

“Bruce?”

“That’s one of the things I love about you.”

“That was present tense.”

“Couse it was. I never stopped.”

And with that, even though it was a public park, and in public view, there was an obscenely intimate kiss.

I think it’s time we told the kids.
