A Study in Art Appreciation

“The neighbors were not happy about my choice of yard art.”

I chuckled. “I suspect that did not surprise you in the least?”

“After they built that egotistical monstrosity of a glass-walled mansion, they have the audacity to question someone else’s aesthetic appreciation of the arts?”

“But that monstrosity was approved by the San Bernardino Housing Authority.”

“Approved, my behind! I know for a fact that they greased the wheels of the chief board members with several carefully placed favors.”

“You know that they are going to force you to have this thing removed.”

“I hope so. That is the ugliest piece of art that I have ever been forced to appreciate.
