THE DAILY POST PROMPT
Turn, Turn, Turn
Seasons change so quickly! Which one do you most look forward to? Which is your least favorite?
I love the start of school each year. I love the crispness in the air at the beginnings of late fall. I love the multi-colored mosaics you can see from the valley looking up into the mountains. New beginnings and fresh awakenings await each and every new day.
With great anticipation, I await winter. It is a season of family celebrations. I enjoy having several days in a row to regroup from the tasks of school. The fresh smells of kitchen chicanery just before sumptuous meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas are breathtaking. Seeing old friends, just stopping by after visits with their loved ones, just to check in, is priceless.
Spring awaits with open arms to rejuvenate the dead of winter. Hiking the trails to assess winter’s damages is reinvigorating. Blossoms and blooms burst forth from everything imaginable to proclaim that a new world is setting forth to explode into creation. It is a time of rebirth.
The fulfillment of all plans comes with summer. Every day seeking to be lived to its fullest. The culmination of all things that had been put off until there was time are allowed their fruition. Rest and recuperation can come as one relaxes under canopies and enjoys the warmth of convalescing from a lounger with iced tea and a classic.
Which season do I look forward to the most? All of them. Each season, in its turn, allows for the needed restoration of life so that each next season, in its turn, can be lived to its fullest.
