DAILY PROMPT
Dear Leader
If your government (local or national) accomplishes one thing this year, what would you like that to be?
If my federal government could accomplish one thing this year I would like them to complete the demolishing of a multi-billion dollar monstrosity that is our current welfare/ health system and re-establish a working model that operated in a capitalistic society in which consumers would have a variety of choices from which to select healthcare.
If the ‘all-knowings’ of the world wanted to stop certain health-care practices, all they would have had to do was to pass a bill making watch obnoxious practice against the law and then let the capitalist financiers and the consumer battle for cost efficiency.
I know…. This solution sounds far too simple for such a complex issue…. But some things can be solved from being simple, competent, and pragmatic. But if our Congressmen would get off their duffs and look after us and the country instead of constantly looking for a re-election promise to make to their constituencies, we would live in a much happier and healthier society.
