The (Not-So-) Privileged Pinkertons

“Ticket, please.”

I discreetly try to flash my Pinkerton’s badge so that the remaining passengers are unaware of my presence.

“Ticket, please, sir.” The statement is more forceful.

I step closer to him, and once again try to subtly and silently stop this needless impasse.

“I understand who you are, sir, but everyone pays to ride this train.”
