You get some incredibly, amazingly, wonderfully fantastic news. What’s the first thing you do?

My most anticipated good news in the foreseeable future….. Since I am a teacher, it would be testing scores. My students have standardized tests coming up soon. We are in the review stages now. They are all working effectively and efficiently to show personal self-improvement and achieve mastery of their class’s content. When we get our scores back, it will be a celebration time.

Celebration for me: An All-You-Can-Eat-Steak-Buffet.  The celebration will happen on the following Friday night. Even though I might want to celebrate immediately, I am getting on up there in years, and weekends are much more conducive for maximizing celebratory activities. One cannot get better than three rounds of rib-eye, mashed potatoes, buttered corn, muffins, bacon-seasoned green beans and two or three marvelous desserts. (Hopefully, an enjoyable ride home before the meal causes a comatose night.) Yum!

I'd love to hear from you. It's nice to know other people are out there.
